My favorite travel location - Iceland has a huge variety of landscapes, epic waterfalls, glaciers, welcoming green spaces, spectacular mountains but also plenty of volcanoes, bizarre lava or stone deserts and otherworldly places. You can visit Iceland again and again but you never will stop exploring new spectacular places. The weather can be everything from lovely to life threatening. And if you want to take wildlife pictures, there are plenty of birds to discover.
A puffin at the edge of the cliffs at Borgarfjörður eystri.

Dettiifoss is the biggest waterfall in Europe. You can see some tiny little dots at the left upper side. These are people, so you can imagine how big this waterfall is.
Somewhere at the east fjords, taking a break on the way to Skaftafell.
Between Eystrahorn and Vestrahorn there are thousands of swans occupying this place as breeding places. A lost white feather on a black beach is a little sign for that.

The Faroe Islands are a North Atlantic archipelago located halfway between the northern peak of the United Kingdom and Iceland. They are consisting of 18 major islands. Fast changing weather and light conditions together with the rough and beautiful nature makes this place an absolute dream for every landscape photographer.
The little village Gásadalur located on the island Vágar on a windy and foggy day. In front you can see the famous waterfall Múlafossur.

A small boat tightened up with a rope at the jetty in Bøur. I decided to take a long time exposure. The motion blur from water and boat in contrast to the static foreground adds a mysterious feeling to the picture.

If you travel to Greenland this country may surprise you. Apart from all the ice there is, especially at the coastline, plenty of green space. Apart from that it is a very special country with a special mood. You for sure will be surrounded by impressions that will attend you for a lifetime.
